As a consumer, I'm absolutely sick and tired of being treated indifferently or poorly by the businesses I patronize.

That's why I was touched today to see my coworkers raise $1,200 for a Christmas gift to the man who cleans our office every night. Typically, one's expectations of a custodian are very low, but this man is one of the nicest, friendliest people we see every day. He always has a smile on his face, and he refers to everyone as "amigo."

If only everyone, no matter how "lowly" their job, where as friendly.

He probably feels like the richest man in town.
Nice.
