Chevy Chase, (real first name: Cornelius) spoke at an event at the Kennedy Center being held by the liberal group People for the American Way. In a rambling, profanity-laced tirade, he decided it was time to bash George Bush. He called the President a "dumb ____ " (rhymes with "muck") and accused the president of starting a jihad. Among his other comments: "This guy in office is an uneducated, real lying schmuck ... and we still couldn't beat him with a bore like Kerry." Well, at least he admits Kerry is a bore. Even the liberal outfit holding the event distanced itself from his comments. But they are telling, and reflect the frustration of the left and their inability to win very many elections these days. It's going to be a long four years for people like Chevy Chase. His career is likely over, although many might say it already was. By the way, where does he get off calling George Bush dumb, anyway? I think that he’s a lot smarter than Cornelius and many MOL posters give him credit for. And this is just another example of why the Democratic party will continue to lose elections. The majority of American voters don’t appreciate bashing the president as much as you Bush haters might wish to believe.

ok, if you say so. So American voters are smart enough to ignore the idiocy of such Republican supporters as Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell, but too stupid to do the same with Chevy Chase? CHEVY CHASE?? You gotta be kidding me! |

Chevy Chase? Didn't he used to have a career? As a comedian, back in the days of the Ford administration? Put him up there with Whoopi Goldberg. |

Folks, Dismiss this at your own peril. It's part of a larger trend beyond merely Chevy Chase. A list of comedians who have put aside their comic material to offer anti-Bush diatribes include: Rip Taylor, Rich Little, Nipsey Russel and Soupy Sails. Thanks for alerting us to this cancerous growth in the entertainment industry. |

The stats that offer the crystal picture are the pure number of U.S. Senators from each party. Let's look at them again in two years... |

And of course the "pure number" of U.S. Senators is only a measure of how many states, not how many people voted for each party. After all, the 600,000 people living in Alaska get the same number of Senators as the 35 million who live in California. |

Chase's political rantings are clearly a side effect of too much prescription pain medication...just like Rush Limbaugh. But only one of those men gets to interview the sitting vice-president on national radio. |
