In tracing my family tree, I discovered my great great great uncle's first name was Hilarius.
I've also come across Isadore Wetmore and Sands Higginbotham Goodwin.

And while watching "Dangerous Minds" the other night, one of the actresses was named Asia Minor.

knak - there was a Jordan Lee and a Lee Jordan in CHS at the same time as me. Lee is a boy (I might be spelling the name wrong) and Jordan is a girl.

I have a friend who swore he studied guitar with Mr. Strum-I doubted him (he was quite a teller of tall tales) until the other day at a musician friend's funeral, I met Harvey Strum, sitting in on guitar

A friend of mine claimed he saw a painting of a man in the Museum of the City of New York. The picture was of a man named Preserved Fish.

Do you know my son, Joe? He was at Columbia at the same time as the two people you mentioned in your last post.

Went to college with:

Odd Oddson (the sad part was he was the IV)

Misha Weiner (I went through 4 years of college w/o thinking anything about her name - my husband however died laughing the first time he meet her)

It's that male/female perspective again!

I've alway wondered about the owner of that paving company you see everywhere, "A. Duie Pyle".

What could A possible stand for that makes calling yourself a doody pile a better option?

Woodstock, you reminded me of a junior high friend 35 years ago; Sharon Aaron. I also went to high school with Cochise Pendleton and his brother Joaquin.

I think the most name-challenged person in our high school class was Robert Fink. How many teens in Brooklyn in the early 1960's would have wanted to be called a "Fink"?

I didn't have any winners when I was in school, but my husband knew a girl who's first name was Dorkus - no lie - it's a biblical name.

Can you imagine the teasing that poor girl endured, and probably still does!!! Who could do that to their child??
