this is sad. I found a dead (hit by car) black and white cat this afternoon on Wyoming near New England (must've been hit late morning). I picked it up because it looks exactly like a neighbor's cat. It's not the neighbor's cat. But now I've got this beautiful, well-cared-for cat's body wrapped up in a towel; I can't bear to just put her/him in the trash. I saw that poor cat around noon on Wyoming today.
Maybe you could put up a little sign on both sides of Wyoming explaining that the cat was hit and died, but that you still have it.
It was very sweet of you to take in the cat and not leave it lying out by the road. When the owners find you I'm sure they'll be comforted by your kindness. |
