What's up with Other Mothers?

They have paper all over their windows and letter saying they are closed for renovations, and would be open again January 4. Well, I arrived with some clothes and toys, ready to trade, but the place was still closed. I know whenever I see a restaurant with a sign saying "closed for renovations" it's a good bet that they'll never re-open.
