The Newcomers Club of South Orange and Maplewood will be presenting its annual Art Auction at the Maplewood Women’s Club on Saturday, January 22, 2005, at 7:00 p.m. Approximately 160 pieces of art, memorabilia, and glass will be presented by Marlin Art of New York. The artwork, which is 1/2 to 1/3 below gallery prices, will be presented, explained, and auctioned in a professional manner that will be appreciated by both gallery collectors and art novices. It promises to be an evening filled with fun, laughter, and great buys! Admission is only $10 in advance ($15 at the door) and includes complimentary appetizers, wine and beer, and dessert. Don’t miss your chance to buy tickets to the Art Auction in advance. Tickets will be available at the Newcomers Club general meeting on Wednesday, January 5, 2005, at 7:45 p.m. at Morrow Memorial Church (corner of Baker Street and Ridgewood Road in Maplewood). You can also purchase tickets or find out more by contacting Julie Boas at (973) 762-4349 or julieboas@yahoo.com. |

The Newcomers Club Art Auction is only one week away, on Saturday, January 22, 2005, at 7:00 p.m., but it’s not too late to buy tickets in advance! Tickets are $10/person in advance and $15/person at the door. To reserve tickets or for more information call Julie Boas at (973) 762-4349. This year’s Art Auction promises to be a great event. During the preview hour you can enjoy drinks and hors d’oeuvres while meeting other members of the community and bidding on silent auction items. Approximately thirty local business owners have donated goods and services for the silent auction, including consultations with architects and designers, gift certificates for restaurants, art stores, and bookstores, a clambake, original artwork, and much more. We hope to see you there!
