Did GW forget to shave? Did Laura get work done on that Riddler face of hers?

He is still one scary guy.

I think she is a terrific lady.

Out of curiosity, what are you basing that on? I can't recall ever hearing her speak a complete sentence.

She may be terrific, but she comes off as a total blank slate to me.

If you haven't heard Mrs. Bush speak complete sentences then you should get your hearing checked.

She is a very bright lady. She is quite charming. She has a number of core beliefs and she represents them very well.

s- She may be charming (although I've never seen this), but she has done nothing of import in the national eye as first lady. And her eyebrows are scary.

I don't go in for the physical critiques, but to me, Mrs. Bush seems like an empty vessel. The way her husband was determined to be Clinton's exact opposite (for better and for worse), her role seems to be to function as Hillary's exact opposite. While some people may like that, and be relieved to have a first lady who isn't so "pushy," I'm not, particularly. She may be charming, she may even be bright, but she seems, at best, passionless about the things she's doing.

What would you say are her core beliefs, outside of libraries (admittedly an important one)?

Straws post got me all teary eyed. Excuse me but now I'm gonna have to throw up.

Nothing particularly against the woman (except her taste in men) but portraying her as this great icon of "American Values" is a crock of sh*t. She has had her share of problems and scandals (vehicular manslaughter) and if you judge her parenting abilities by how the twins turned out (especially compared to that devil child Chelsea of the satanic Clintons), she's more Sharon Osbourne then Betty Crocker.

She's actually a closet liberal putting on an act for the sake of her husband.

...............and according to my wife she usually wears a girdle. Something called "monobutt". :-)

Depending on your political views you might not like Nancy Reagan, Barbara Bush, Betty Ford and Hillary, but all of them had their point of view, projects and defined themselves to the American public.

I don't think Laura Bush has done this and is a throwback to the days of Mamie Eisenhower and Pat Nixon.

So Straws impressed that a couple of Bush's graduated college.

Just proves that while fruit breathes, it still cannot think.
