Any fans out there? My daughter bought their CD, and we are both enjoying the hell out of it. First time I heard them, I thought it was Weird Al... |

Have a 12-year old son who loves it as well. And, it is something that adults can listen to without pulling their hair out! |

The lyrics are really clever, and for me, that's what makes this "power pop" (is that the right term?) band work. Some of the music/arrangements sound like good band of my 70's youth, some a little Ramones-ish. Was just curious if these guys are uncool, or what...To me, they sound like a really good bar band, with really good lyrics... Makes such a break from Avril Lavigne, Ashley Simpson, Usher and similar...!

Ramones!?!?!?!?!? they sound nothing like the Ramones! When the ramones broke through there was nobody quite like them. they were original and unique for their time... bands like bowling for soup come a dime a dozen today.. they sound like 10 bands before them and ten after.. YAWNNN..boring. just for that statment you get GERARD!!!

Hmmm...I'm no popular music historian, but I recall that when the Ramones first hit, part of their appeal with that they harkened back to simpler rock (of my high school years) as opposed to the kind of overproduced, arena rock that was going on ... ??? One of Bowling's songs sounded musically a lot like I wanna be sedated... (to me, anyway) |

Looked them up on iTunes and sampled a few songs .. they sound a little early Green Dayish to me. |
