Anyone care to comment on their claim service, customer service or premium adjustments after a claim. They have offered us a rate at less than 50% of what we are paying Liberty Mutual for car insurance. Thanks |

squeeks- I do not know about Geico insurance, but I also have Liberty Mutual. I am interested to see what people have to say about Geico. I think I will see about getting a quote from them. |

I got a quote from Geico that was nearly $500 more than what I'm paying Hanover. |

I got a quote from Geico that I originally thought was 50% less than I am paying through AAA Insurance, but when I really read the quote it was for a 6 month policy, so ended up being the same that I was already paying on a yearly basis. But I have heard good things. |

We had Geico in New York and they were great, from regular costomer service to dealing with an accident. We have them in NJ and no complaints yet. |

I switched from Hanover to Geico, and while I reduced my coverage on one of my cars, even without that, it still was significantly less than Hanover, taking into account the 6 month vs. 12 month policy period. I can't comment about the customer service, as we just switched, but the Hanover policy was getting ridiculously expensive for no apparent justification. |

Same thing - we went from Hanover to Geico and saved several hundred dollars. Hanover sent us a big increase again this year (and we've never had any claims) so screw'em. |

I also have been with AAA for years and have been getting about the same rate all that time that Geico recently quoted me. Just switched my homeowner's policy to them as well for an additional discount (and significant savings over my existing policy which was recently taken over, and jacked up, by High Point).

The manager at the charity where I do voluntary work recommends an insurance company called; http://njcure.com Sadly as I have a teenager with a driving permit they won't take our family on, but even if you have a less than pristine driving record they will accept new clients. I guess it's worth getting a quote...(and out of curiosity I would love to know if anyone gets a bigger saving than quotes from Geico and Hanover etc.) |

I got a quote from NJ Cure upon a recommendation from a previous discussion on this topic, and while I no longer recall the amount, it was no bargain. I switched from Hanover to GEICO and realized a large savings in doing so. NJ Cure would have offered little to no savings, and we have clean driving records. |

A big thank you to everyone who has commented on this thread. I reviewd Geico's online quote again today. For exactly the same coverage we have for two new cars with Liberty Mutual, their annual premium of $1694 was less than 1/2 of our most recent renewal billing. I think it's worth the savings to try them. Hopefully use of their claim service will be minimal and for a 50% reduction I can take some lousy customer service once in a while if that should occur. Good luck with them if you decide to switch. Tks again |

I have NJ Cure and it's definitely not a bargain. Their rates were very competitive when I signed up with them three years ago, but they have been rising every year with no justification. I've never had a claim with them so I can't vouch for their customer service. I'm going to dump them when renewal time comes around for either Lib Mutual or Geico. |

I switched to GEICO a few months ago and found the service thus far to be excellent. I have not had a claim so I don't know how that will be, but I have only heard good things from friends who have live in NY and had GEICO for years. I am saving a lot of $$ and think everyone should switch. Then maybe some of the rip off insurers we've had to suffer with for years will lower their rates. One thing I think GEICO does is base premiums on credit scores, so the amount you will save probably will depend on how good your credit is. |
