How much snow is supposed to fall on Saturday? I looked on www.weather.com, www.nj.com, and www.1010wins.com, but all I have learned is that there might be snow.

That doesn't sound good. Did they predict what time the snow will start?

Sometime "mid-day" Saturday is all I heard. And it is supposed to continue overnight, tapering off Sunday morning. But there are supposed to be high winds on Sunday to cause "blowing and drifting snow." All in all, it does not sound good.

Yeah - why can't it be late enough on Sunday to close things down on Monday? My heart is set on a good snuggle-stay-at-home day.

I will wait and see what happens. The news media here in NY can make what turns out to be a two inch snowfall into the storm of the century. :-)

In spite of my usual cynicism on the subject of snow warnings I just checked NOAH. They are predicting 12 to 15 inches with heavy winds and blowing snow through Sunday noon!!!!

Wonder if Home Depot has any snowblowers left?? :-)

Me, too! I actually love snow - I just can't stand bone-chilling, lung-burning cold.

My husband, on the other hand, hated all of it. He's very happy wearing shorts all year.

I can't get over the strange behavior of people. Beginning last night I noticed that many people were crowding the grocery stores to buy all kinds of things and every gas station is jammed with people getting gassed up. This happens every time we have a storm. I can understand bottled water, batteries and marshmallows, but why gas for your car? Are people going to drive somewhere to get away from this? I don't think so. I think it's an automatic(partly learned and partly instinctive) response to warnings of any kind to stock up on the essentials. People obviously think gas in their car is essential whether they're going to need it or not. What did you stock up on? R
