I hope you can straighten out the problems we have. I'm rooting for you.

The success of our country is more important than petty politics.

Sbenois,
I have to agree with your sentiment. I think he's a horrible president and a bigger phoney than Milli and Vanilli combined.
That being said I'd much rather that he be proved right than I. If I'm wrong, it's just one public spirited guy who didn't really have his hand on the pulse of world events. No biggie. Sort of like picking the wrong team to win the Super Bowl this year. If he's wrong there are much greater consequences for all of us and those yet to be born.
So good luck Mr. President. We all need it.

You sound bitter.

Cheer up.

What's so bad about 4 more years of prosperity and stability?

....and yes I like Kool-Aid.

Unfortunately Sbenois, I'm afraid you have your hopes backwards. Mr. Bush has already decided his courses of action for the next four years, I'm sure. And those courses of action (like his tax cuts which were proposed during times of both surplus and deficit) will not be altered, regardless of events over the next four years. It is entirely outside of W's character to analyze or reconsider.

So you should be (and we all should be) rooting for problems that match the solutions Bush already has in his tool box, not vice versa.

Let me know when you give back your portion of the tax cut.

Well that makes two of us.

And don't forget, the extended exemption limit goes away next year.
