looking for something really fabulous in or near Princeton. Are there any Relais & Chateaux type places in the vicinity. This is a work related "cost is no object" type of thing. Also, any restaurant recommendations. |

Triumph Brewery in Princeton - great food and drinks, definitely check it out. And PJ's Pancakes for breakfast, there might be a line, but it's definitely worth waiting for. There's also a fantastic Thai place, though I can't remember the name of it off the top of my head. All these restaurants are on the main street in Princeton. I went to TCNJ (formerly Trenton State) and we would frequent Princeton because it was a pretty short drive and a very cool little town. If you like music, and you have the time, you might also want to check out Princeton Record Exchange - hundreds of CD's under $5. |

If the Straw has any pull with Tiger Alum you could get into one of the Dinning club on campus. |

JET -- thanks. I started to post before but got sidetracked .... My J. Peterman guy does nothing for himself! He's a Stanford man -- never been to Princeton (as far as I know). I've been there twice -- hand delivering his child's application (she didn't get in -- daddy sent her to Stanford). Thank you thank you thank you. I have a suite and a room at Nassau and am looking at Lahaines (sp) or The Ferry House (something like that for a dinner res). |

We used to live in PRinceton and had our wedding reception at the Peacock Inn. It was a nice dinner. We used to go to Acacia, which was out of town (but I forget where) for great meals. I think it was BYO. |

Check it out at www.peacockinn.com. You can peek at the rooms and look at restaurant menus. I'm biased because it was where I slept (or passed out anyway) the night before my wedding and where we had a magical winter wedding--we were married on January 11 and it snowed lightly the night before. We had our wedding at Trinity church up the street and walked back to the reception together just GIDDY. When we walked in everyone cheered and we had a great party at the Peacock. So, it's hard for me to be too objective about the place. |
