The Springfield Avenue store next to Pizza Primo had a sign that it was for rent.

Today that sign changed to RENTED.

Any idea what is going in?

Call me crazy, but I think that the owner rented the property.

Well, it's been sub-rented, if you will. And the new business will be...tada! Stories in Motion. With a sizable dance area in the back stretching across the width of the building. Got the inside scoop today from a local businessman. There's a bunch of work that needs to be done before it can open but it is definitely a work in progress. Just another sign of things looking up on the Ave due to the persistent hard work and optimism of local folks.

I heard from the guy at City Nails, that it will be another Nail salon.

Ask him.

Don't beleive everything you hear. It's going to be Stories In Motion. I called the SAP this morning to find out and they confirmed that Stories In Motion WILL be coming soon and it will NOT be a nail salon. If you want to know what is REALLY going on on SA, please, instead of trying to circulate rumors, call the people that are working on getting new business on the Ave. The SAP knows. Uninformed people do not.

Thank you for the lecture. I spoke with the guy who runs City Nails. He told me that his brother in law was trying to rent it for another salon.

But, you are correct, it was rented to someone else before he could make a deal with the landlord.

So if you really want to know what is going on ask the people involved.

Who is SAP?

My pleasure.

SAP is the Springfield Avenue Partnership. They run the Special Improvement District on SA. If you want to call to talk about anything going on regarding the avenue or to volunteer, the phone number is 973.763.6011. They also run the Mayfest every year. A great time always had by all!
