My next door neighbour phoned at 9.30am to say that his drive had just been cleared and the landscapers were at the house opposite mine and I should go over and see if they would use their plough on my drive (he knows my husband is on a trip to London).
I couldn't open the front door so had to go through the garage and wade through the snow on the drive...it must be about 20" deep. Luckily the guy agreed...and 10 minutes later the doorbell rang as he wanted his money - I hadn't even thought about the cost of it when I asked him.
It was $100 (our drive is almost the length of four cars). |

I just paid four guys from Orange $70 (one was wearing a fluorescent orange jumpsuit) to do my walk and long wide driveway. They even cleared the cars off (without my asking) . Not sure when the landscaper was arriving, and husband is on his way home from Upstate NY... wanted to be sure he could get into the driveway! |
