I am looking for a local family restaurant (non Italian) for dinner on Saturday night. Does anyone have any good suggestions?

The Mongolian Bar-B-Que in Millburn is JP Lee's. Is it authentic?, no, is it gourmet?, no. It is however a great fun place with real good food for a great price. Most kids love putting their Bar B Q dish together and the owners Charlie and Cynthia are always very nice. Don't pay any mind to the sign that says, "Misbehaving children will be cooked on the grill".

Benihana out there on what is that 24?, same as what Uke said, but my kid loves watching the onion volcano's, and the parents can at least get a decent meal. The chicken fried rice is deeeeelicious.Perhaps not authentic, but deeeelicious none the less. And you often see kids there. Also you take the chance of sitting next to grumpy people since you do not get your own table. But sometimes, you get friendly people. We were really lucky on our last trip and enjoyed our table company a great deal.

Marion, the request was for "not Italian"---although I love bunnys for family meals.
