As I have said on MOL before, Dr. Robert Fieldman on Northfield in West Orange is the best. Did two sinus surgeries for me. He is a great surgeon, great diagnostician, and more importantly, just a great guy. One of the best ENT surgeons in the country, from what I hear.

A second for Dr. Fieldman. An excellent doctor and a genuinely nice person. Great with kids as well as adults. |

I can't believe three in a row would agree on anything on MOL but ... Dr. Feldman is extremely competent, great w/kids and adults and is great to deal with. |

Here's a second option/opinion: Dr. Alex Gnoy (in Westfield 908-233-5500). He's fantastic. I have known him for 20 years, and he has treated both my husband and son. He's very well-respected at Overlook, too, for surgery. |

I took Mark Fuhrman's recommendation and saw an ENT in that practice. Actually, two of them. Fieldman wasn't available, but I lucked out seeing Dr. Downey and Dr. Holzberg (?). I have some ongoing ear problems and I'm really pleased to have found this place. If need be, they also have an audiologist on staff. Great place. |

Dr. Fieldman took my tonsils out a few years back as well as my aunt's tonsils and performed sinus surgery on my cousin...we were all pleased with him. |

Gozer: Dr. Downey is also great--her specialty is hearing loss, but she also does the whole spectrum of ENT stuff. |

Another vote for Dr. LeBenger. He operated on my husband's severely deviated septum and removed part of his uvula. He now can breath properly and snores a lot less than before!

I cannot recommend Dr. Laura Downey enough. She is phenomenal. She is probably one of the most caring and supportive physicians I have ever encountered.
I have some chronic ear problems and she is the only one who has been consistently helpful.
Incidentally, I had a terrible }}experience w/ Dr. Fieldman. In a middle of the night emergency crisis, he was completely horrible to me and not at all helpful or sympathetic. I will NEVER deal with him again. The two doctors are in the same practice however. |
