Moved here from there years ago. One of the major differences is that the Riverdale Press (The N-R equvilent) is a Pulitzer Prize winning local weekly, the News WreckEd is??????

It is, but don't let the residents know. Sort of like Short Hills is really Milburn, but they'd never admit to it. Even have their own zip code.

I was born in Riverdale. When I tell hard-core Bronx guys that I was born in Da Bronx, they ask "Where?", and when I say Riverdale, they usually say, "That aint Da Bronx". Used to be a very artistic community. My mom used to see the actor who played Dr. No in the bakery every morning.

Patricia Goldstein sounds like Straw getting in touch with his feminine side (Or one of his multiple personalities).

I grew up in the Bronx, and Riverdale has always considered itself separate. They even write "Riverdale, NY" on their return adresses

But the NYPD 50th Precinct and Kingsbridge Post Office know it's all the same thing.

I thought Riverdale was served by the Riverdale Post Office on Riverdale Avenue?

Shall we ex-Riverdalians have a reunion?

TomR.

Ps., to harisedon. The NYT article was about the "Riverdale Review" not to be confused with the award winning "Riverdale Press".
