True. Don't know what's going to replace it though.

I hate to say it, but the two times I ate there (both times take out) it was horrible! The first time was the first week that they were open, so I chalked it up to that, but the second time was about a year ago and it was just as bad. Not edible in any way.

I'm with Taurus on this one. I only ate there once and everything tasted the same, kind of styrofoamy. It was also take out, so maybe that's why, but I never ordered or went there again. I'm not terribly disappointed, but I am curious to see what goes there, it's a pretty small place.

It's funny - some people loved it and others didn't like it at all - I wanted to love it.. and tried it several times, but alas, I was one of those who didn't like it.

Me too. Didn't like it at all, neither did my son, who'll generally eat any Mexican food. Glad to see them go if something better comes along.

Some dishes were good. Our biggest problem is that it took so long to get served. It was never a possibility for dinner and a movie night.

I feel bad because I really like Carlos. TS was a loyal patron when he was a little place in Hoboken.

I actually ate at the one in Hoboken once, years ago, and loved it and was so excited when they came to Maplewood, but it was just terrible.

I never liked it either. We go to Tinga. But I just hope something good comes in its place. Wasn't this the same location that that cheese shop used to be in?

We only went there once and we were disappointed. Tinga is a better choice for informal Tex/Mex chow.

It will be really interesting to see who rents the space. Any scuttlebutt on this? Guesses?

I love Carmelitas - the Carmelita Burrito is currently my favorite! Can't go a week without Carmelita's - I'll be very sad to see it go. My other favorite is chicken echilada with mole sauce - thoguh he does always have the mole. His shrimp dish is good, ribs were pretty good too!

Tinga is ok. I get a hankering for it every once in a while but it can be bland.

For great mexican try Jose's Cantina in New Providence. Just went there for lunch on Friday and had an enchalada, burrito and taquito combo platter with soup for $7. I ate every bite. Yum!

It would be great if the another cheese shop came back into the space. I remember the one that was there when we first moved to Maplewood and then it was gone in a flash. What a bummer.

The cheese shop didn't smell so great, but they had gummy bears for the kids.

The Cheeeeese shop was there for YEARS. I agree with the Mayor - it gave that corner of town a funky smell. I never had any gummy bears though.

Don't know if it's true but just heard a rumor that CentAni has been sold. The new owner will supposedly keep it Italian (with liquor license) and Franco will join Giacomo at Lot 15
