Fresh off their spectacular performance at the Battle of the Basement Bands, 3rd Gear will be performing at Here's To the Arts Cafe in Maplewood on Friday, February 11 at 8:30 PM. This promises to be a special evening for at least two reasons:
First -- We are very, very pleased to announce that JBeatz of Aguafuego will be joining the band on flute. If you've heard Aguafuego, you know that she's an exceptionally talented musician. If you haven't, check out their website -- http://www.aguafuego.com
Second, in honor of the 41st anniversary of The Beatles' first appearance on Ed Sullivan (Feb. 9, 1964) the band is preparing a very special tribute to the Fab Four.
So DO NOT miss out! (We guarantee to do everything within our power to ensure good weather for the entire evening.)

In fact, we are planning a set of love songs (nothing but love songs). Good love, bad love, unrequited love, whatever suits your Valentine's fancy.
The second set will be a tribute to the lads from Liverpool.
And this just in -- at 8 PM, our set will be preceded by a performance by Argument Clinic, a rock&roll band made up of talented CHS students.
It's going to be a fun night, and we can't wait! |

another bump up --
we learned a bunch of new tunes this week (which is why you'll see music stands and lyric sheets in front of us this time ) and we're looking forward to playing them to an audience.
we'll be playing a couple of acoustic mini-sets tonight as well, and we'll be joined on flute by JBeatz of Aguafuego.
