1) The fact that he admits to being a leftist.

2)The traffic reports

3)The lead ins and lead outs with The Dead playing.

The rest is all lies and propaganda.

Their signal stinks. I can barely get it in Essex county----Pathetic.

They plays re-runs of his show all weekend----No Depth.

Stewart worked for free for an undisclosed period of time because they have no $money$.

Otherwise it is a great station to listen to for a laugh.

WLIB should be called WCOM for "Air Comedy"

My wife and I love Air America, for the record. Listen to it all the time. And it's apparently expanding quite well. It's 100% more brilliant and realistic than, say, Limbaugh on HDTV (or Bush at a so-called State of the Union address)

Air America rocks. It's radio for smart, free-thinking people. Randi Rhodes the best. And it keeps getting bigger and expanding. Good for Franken for working for free. He's 1,000 times funnier and smarter than his competition.

The traffic reports do stink, though.

I used to listen to AAR all the time. Air America at its most partisan is no worse than the least partisan Rush LImbaugh or Sean Hannity show. But it is partisan. And they admit it.

Randi Rhodes is entertaining, but she does the same thing that Rush does when a caller he doesn't agree with is on. She talks over them, she cuts them off when they start making a point so that she can refute the one part they were able to say, even though she knows they are going in a different direction with their comments. And she often picks on a small part of their point and beats that to death, even though the rest of what they say might be right on target.

Personally, the only people I like on the station these days are Mark R & Mark M. At last they're entertaining, and I don't find them to be as outlandish and serious as the others.

Franken was good as a writer for others. And while I might agree with many of his opinions, he really isn't all that funny on the radio. He's too much of a visual comic.

I noticed they did NOT carry the State Of The Union address live.

What is the deal with that?

Was it too expensive to broadcast or too painful for them to hear President Bush?

Randi Rhodes is obnoxious. Just the sound of her voice makes me cringe.

Mike Malloy, who I believe is on after Janine Garafolo and Sam Cedar, is hilarious.
I didn't expect to like Janine and Sam, but do. She's a tad shrill (but I guess that's why they hired her). Randi Rhodes takes some getting used to but I can tolerate her. I guess because I'm sympathetic to her views. However, she share's Limbaugh's penchant for ignoring obvious facts that don't conform with her rants.

I think Air America is great. I don't agree with everything that they say, and at times I get pretty angry at some of the commentators, but for interesting intelligent commentary, where they assume that the listener has more than a HS education and is relatively sophisticated, it has no equal.

Janeanne Garofalo is great!

And by the way, I remember when it launched lumpynose and some others were speculating about its imminent demiseon this board. How wrong they were!

My current favorite on Air America is Unfiltered - Lizz Winstead and Rachel Maddow work really well together - they're quick-witted and they're often very, very funny.

I'm also partial to Lizz's Minnesota accent - guess it's all those years of listening to Prairie Home Companion.

So lumpynose, you don't like Randi Rhodes ?. I guess smart, outspoken women who served in the military threaten ya. Don't fret she probably also threatens the President .
