OK, some may say this is just standard operating procedure, but I was a bit miffed when this happened to me. I gave my delivery man what I thought was a pretty good tip ($3), and he thanked me heartily. I closed my front door and then looked at the receipt and it had a $1 surcharge on it for delivery. OK no big deal, I lost out a buck. I'm not poor or anything and a $4 tip aint going to break the bank, but still I felt irritated. This was the first time I ordered from them and I wasn't aware of any surcharge. The guy on the phone didn't mention any delivery charge, and later when I looked on the menu it had no mention of a delivery charge. I guess, it would have been nice for the guy on the phone or the deliveryman to have mentioned something. As an aside. The pizza was fine, almost identical to Bunny's and equally small. I think the Large pie was $14 and after our meal, my wife and I were still hungry. |

I've never had Reservoir deliver. It's always been my custom (& that of most other S.O. residents as well, I'll bet) to phone my order in, then go pick it up. It's part of my enjoyment of a Reservoir pie. Yesterday at 6:15, the place was nearly empty, and Billy (the owner) was busy putting up call-in orders, but still took time to jaw with me about The Game (said he had no team preference, that he was "just workin'"). -s. BTW: I found that two regular pies ($19) were more than enough for the wife & myself. |

Sometimes I have them deliver, most of the time we pick-up. I've never noticed a delivery surcharge on the bill.. perhaps it's a new policy. We usually get one pie and a Tony salad for 1 to share - unless we're in the mood for The Super - in which case we wouldn't have room for the salad. |

It has been my experience, when I was delivering for Reservoir (A long time ago)that there are alot of people who don't tip or don't tip well & maybe this is to help out the driver. I used to hate the people would have food delivered when the roads were bad (snow, ice, Heavy rain) and then not tip. Don't get me wrong there were generous people, $3 is a nice tip |

When I worked as a delivery boy the store would sometimes add the tip to the bill if they were going to a Dorm, or some other place that the driver would not be tipped. |

It is my understanding that Resevoir has always had the $1 delivery fee. Another reason why picking up is the better option is because I have found that when they deliver the pizza is not hot and a bit soggy, but when picked up it's really very good. The only downfall is battling the SO Ave. traffic at dinner time. |

If you think about it. Time away, workers comp liability and fuel cost aren't cheap. What's your time worth? If your answer is nothing your hired. |

I just think it is lame is all. I think he should have mentioned the surcharge (WHEN I GAVE HIM THE $3 TIP), or it should be listed on the menu, or mentioned on the phone. And clearly from reading these posts other people don't know about the surcharge either. |
