This really is an awesome experience! I attended the initial rehearsal and encourage anyone with any musical interest to try it out! Great group of people, inspiring music, building community - the project's conductor, Vicki Carter, Maplewood resident and PaperMill Playhouse conductor, is awesome. This is the perfect thing to chase away dem winter blues - working on an arts-based project that will take place in JULY \clipart{wink}

Liz is right.. if you enjoy singing, come be part of this project! As you can see, the rehearsal schedule is not overwhelming and as Liz said.. singing with this group is a great panacea for the winter doldrums!

Its also an awesome experience for children (grades 3 - 5) and youth (grades 6-8.) See the other posting under this Topic for their schedule. (High school students are invited to sing with the adult choir!)

I was at the children's first rehearsal, and they had a great time. Jason Asbury, music director at Prospect Church, is their conductor -- and did a really good job with the kids!

My wife and I went to the rehearsal tonight. It's good community building. We met (and sang with) some nice people there.
