If you're planning to buy the DVD buy it at Circut City for only $4.99. That's right, a brand new just released DVD of Sharktales for only $4.99. All you have to do is sign up for a FREE 90 day trail of AOL. You make up a user name when you buy the movie, get a CD ROM to install AOL 9.0; go home change the password; play with AOL a few days, then cancel it. Your cost for the AOL Nothing because it's a free trial. Can't go wrong. |

Yet the cost is in fact enormous, since both Shark Tales and AOL epitomize pure suck. |

Maybe you and I didn't like ST, but my nephews did. So it's part of their Valentine's presents. I'm glad I didn't pay to se it in the theaters! I agree about AOL. That's why after the free trial period you dump it. |

what a pain to save a few dollars on a DVD. Have you actually tried quitting AOL?? They have the WORST customer service. I spent 30 minutes on the phone trying to cancel my service a few years ago. It was one of the most annoying phone experiences I have ever had. Ugh. I don't know about you, but my time is more valuable than $4.99. |

Agreed. I had a friend that signed up for one of those gimmicks with AOL and it took her forever to cancel AOL. She cancelled it, then a few months later received a bill. When she called to complain, they said they had no record, blah blah blah.... Needless to say it took her a very long time to solve the problem, not worth it! |

that is exactly what happend to me - I thought I cancelled, but they signed me up for a three month trial offer. I guess AOL doesn't understand the word cancel. |

Many people have told stories of difficulty cancelling AOL service. Probably the best way is to cancel your credit card. That will get their attention. I agree, this will not save you much, especially if you value your time. |

Well I cancelled the trail AOL. Only took a few minutes. I ended up actually SAVING $5 a month on my future AOL bills on my actual account! Turns out AOL has a new promotion they aren't advertising. $10.99 a month if you bring your own access. Such we have Verizon DSL, we were able to get this offer. It gives you unlimited online time with 10 hours dial up if your bring your own cuts out on you. I also lucked out because I got someone in the US who spoke English! |
