A wonderful pianist and her band will be at The Goat, South Orange Ave, South Orange Saturday Night 2/12.
She just got off tour with Peter Gabriel, and has played with Wayne Shorter among others. She has a great spirit to her playing. Her most recent album features interpretations of Joni Mitchell's work. I believe Tony Levin (bassist extrodinaire) will be with her.

Calling Tony Levin a "bassist extraordinaire" is an understatement.

Was it advertised that Tony Levin would play with her ?. I know he's currently on tour with the California Guitar Trio. I would pay to see Tony Levin tune up.

So Uke and Buzz, or would that be Buzz-U-kee
As near as I can tell, the Z-trio is Rachel, Bobbie Rae (her drummer) and Chris Luard on bass. I know Tony was on the last CD and does shows with her, but I can't confirm that he'll be there on Saturday. I've left her messages, but she's not gotten back to me yet. It's going to be a great show in any event. She has skills, son.
