I recently moved here to Maplewood, and my little sister (who is 16) is coming to visit the weekend of Feb. 18-20th. I was wondering if there is anything planned that weekend, like a concert or show, that she may enjoy.

She really enjoys concerts, and I would ideally like to take her to see a local band. But I don't have a clue what bands are out there and where they play. She likes alternative music; her favorite band is Atreyu.

I'd appreciate any suggestions -- I don't want her to come and have a "boring" visit with her big sis!

Thanks!

Leo Kotke is playing at the Outpost in the burbs in Montclair on the 18th. Also Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt and others are at the Morristown Community Theatre same night. Not exactly alternative music, but good stuff!

Also, my sixteen year old likes to take the train to Soho to walk around and shop for fun stuff.

The Lovett-Hyatt show in Morristown is on the 19th, & is sold out. Sorry...
