I just had lunch at Taste of Asia, which I've enjoyed a few times for dinner. I think the food is really fantastic, but a bit too pricey for me to make a weekly meal out of it. But WOW, the lunch special is an AMAZING bargain! For $8.50 I got a bowl of spicy lemongrass soup, sesame noodle salad, and a generous portion of pork and tofu with veggies in garlic sauce.

If you happen to be home "sick" from work one of these days, I encourage you to go. Or if you've been thinking about trying the restaurant but you're no so sure, lunch is a great way to sample their menu.

Speaking of tasting...

They have a tasting menu from now until Feb. 23, in celebration of Chinese New Year. It's $40 per person with a minimum of 2 people. It's all special items that are NOT on their regular menu. Didn't try it myself yet but the menu looks fantastic! I think it was 5 courses, maybe 14-18 small dishes total. Most of them were seafood.

And speaking of small dishes...

They now have Dim Sum on Sundays. The menu has a very good selection of buns, dumplings, spring rolls, etc., and they average about $3.50 for a plate of 2-4 pieces. I'm looking forward to trying it.

I LOVE his place and hope it stays with us for a long, long time!
