It drives me nuts when newscasters thank the weatherman/weatherwoman for the nice weather we are having. Like they did us a solid and gave us the good weather.

I think your on to something Buzzsaw. If they are complimented when the weather is good, then maybe they should be verbally abused when the weather turns sour. |

I see a treatment for a fox tv show in the making! Pappy Buzzsaw always said "I don't know any other job where you can be so wrong all of the time and still keep your job" He was a carny that did the guess your weight booth down in seaside. |

my pet peeve -- slow walkers. Drives me nuts. That and people who walk down the sidewalk holding hands, taking up the whole damn sidewalk. People who get on an escalator and just stand there - walk or step aside. |

My pet peeve: vacationers at the airport who dawdle in front of you at gates (all of a sudden realizing that they need to show their ticket and ID, and just then beginning to fish them out) or in front of you moving toward the baggage carousels, when you are trying to get home after a week on the road, or trying to make a connection: the dawdlers find the very spot in front of you and everyone else, to put a bag down, look around, wonder where the hell they are and generally just irritate the hell out of me. |

Dog owners who seem to believe you, as a passerby, would not mind being sniffed or licked by their dog. |

people who, when getting on the elevator, hold the door open and finish a conversation with someone not getting on. This drives me nuts. Especially when they do it at 4:55 and I am trying to get out of the building and on the 5:20 train. Arghhh. |

- People who whistle -- unless you're Bing Crosby whistling "White Christmas," trust me, the whistling is annoying. - People who don't move to the right to stand still on an escalator. - People who stand at the top of the subway stairs chatting on the cell phone - it must have rung and they answered it and want to take the call before they lose their signal in the subway, but jeeesh...move to the side and stop blocking everyone. - People who, when they don't find a topic of discussion meaningful to them, dismiss others who are discussing it by saying "Aren't there more important things in the world than that?" Everything's relative and concerns aren't mutually exclusive; no reason to be dismissive of someone that way.
