I'm aware that numerous writers live in and around Maplewood. I've just heard on the BBC World Service radio (I have XM satellite radio but you can get World Service transmissions on the internet)that they're inviting contributions for the 2005 Short Story Competition. The radio announcer said that the prize includes an all-expenses paid trip to London and the top three stories will be read by actors on the World Service radio.

The closing date is April 30th:
