I saw a version of that on ebaumsworld a few weeks ago... I've also heard some of my 7th graders singing it in the hallway... weird. |

I have it saved here, http://homepage.mac.com/jocnsoc/numanuma.swf perhaps you can access it now. You can always right click on it and try downloading to your desktop, then double click on it or drag it to an open browser window. |

I work with someone from Hungary at work but he heads up IT security. His own security protocols may end up blocking it but I'll check. |

If he is an IT head, then he won't have a problem accessing it, if he wants to. |

I sent it to my Hungarian friend. He has no idea what the guy is singing. The guy definitely has good rhythm! |

I heard rumors from local creatives that the guy is actually from NJ. Moreover, there is an "original" version that doesn't contain all of the interstitial stuff. |

Dave & all: original (full) version is at AlbinoBlackSheep: http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/numa.php Unfortunately, it's lower quality and starts phasing toward the end. |

Brolsma, 19, of Saddle Brook, N.J., performs his hit to the strains of O-Zone’s “Dragostea Din Tei,” a song that would be titled “Love Among the Linden Trees” in English. The “Numa Numa” title of the video is from a line in the song. See the complete MSNBC article here, http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6987134/ |

Thanks monster. But I'm not sure that I get what all the hype is about. Sounds like some bad euro-pop to me with a guy goofing of. Anything I'm missing here? |

First, that even though he is in bad physical shape, he has really good rhythm. He'd be a good dancer. Second is that he can move his mouth really wide and in funny shapes. Third, I imagine that he sent it to a couple of his friends, who released it. No one meant for it to spread around the world, but there it is. Now that I've explained it to you, it's guaranteed not to be funny. |

That Hungarian co-worker of mine said the guy isn't singing in Hungarian but probably a Slavic language. My co-worker is fluent in several languages and knows enough of other languages that, from what he understood, the content is rather adult. He didn't elaborate... |

I sent the URL of the lipsinking kid to my daughters. Neither of them bothered. So I told my 13 year old that I'd give her a dollar if she watched it and didn't laugh. So she ran to the computer and stipulated that smiling didn't count as laughing. Well, she burst out laughing in about two and a half seconds. My 16 year old took the challenge later, having heard this story, and she was able to control herself, so she's a dollar richer. Then a little later, I see the younger one is dancing in the kid's way, and she has half the song memorized, having heard it twice. And then my wife danced with her! This thing is infectious! We are indebted to you, monster! |

I didn't find it funny so much as strangely, oddly fascinating. Plus the dancing kid seemed so happy, so into it - this made me smile, although not laugh. I didn't think it was funny, just, I dunno, joyous. Unconstrained. The music really sucks though. |

The guy is nuts (but a happy one), that's what brought a smile to my face. You're certainly right about the music. |

I think that he spends a fair amount of time singing into a mirror....he has got it down! The guy reminds me of the guy described in the the new song "Underdog Victorious" by Jill Sobule. |

My 7th grader just told me about an 8th grader who will shun a person if he/she has seen the video of Brolsma (the 19 year old New Jersian) but not the original video by O-ZONE (the Rumanian band). That's how big this thing is, at least at MMS. |
