The (rescheduled) Newcomers Club Art Auction is only one week away, on Sunday, March 6, 2005, at 1:00 p.m., at the Maplewood Woman's Club. Tickets are $10/person in advance and $15/person at the door. Please contact Julie Boas at (973) 762-4349 or julieboas@yahoo.com to reserve tickets or for more information.
The big change for this year’s Art Auction (other than the date itself) is the time of day. We will still offer drinks and light fare during the preview hour. In addition, we will now have babysitters and pizza available for those who wish to bring their children. Just let us know us know in advance if your children are coming so that we can be fully prepared.
This year’s Art Auction promises to be a great event. During the preview hour you can enjoy drinks and hors d’oeuvres while meeting fellow Newcomers and bidding on silent auction items. Approximately thirty local business owners have donated goods and services for the silent auction, including consultations with architects and designers, gift certificates for restaurants, art stores, and bookstores, a clambake, original artwork, and much more.
