I met the lady who did the crackers in the park one day. My friend and I were at the gates, and she was like "do you want your picture taken?" -- I thought she was a solicitor... I probably said something about "how much?" -- lol I had my own camera thankyouverymuch. Then she told us about the crackers, but seemingly as punishment for my New York attitude of "yeah, what do you get out of it" she sort of backed off and said "well I have enough, no no it's ok, nevermind." It was very strange. I think she was cracked herself.

The Somerville Gates are hilarious, and have gotten so much recognition, that now they're being taken seriously - and pictures are even being sold! ($$ benefits cat & art orgs, i think)
