Please if you own a cat keep your little buddy in your house! Or at least have a collar on your beloved friend. Driving home tonight I saw what I thought was the body of a raccoon laying in the middle of the road. As I drove on the other side of the road to miss the body, I notice it was a kitty. I turned around to go back and check for a collar. Not sure what I would do with the information. I figured whoever belonged to the kitty would want to know what happened vs wondering and hoping their four legged friend might come home someday. Well, the kitty had no collar. I was going to move the body to the side of the road, but a gentleman walking his dog advised me not to. Please everyone, keep your kitties inside. |

Just The Aunt: Aren't you kind hearted, thoughtful and brave. I couldn't bear to go near a poor little broken body. It nearly brings me to tears just driving by. My kitties never go outside, but if something awful were to happen (God forbid), it's nice to know there are people like you out there, looking out for them. Why did the man walking his dog advise you not to move the body? |

Hi Me- I don't know if I was brave. I know I just felt horrible seeing it lay there in the street. I don't know why the gentleman didn't want me to move the kitty. Maybe because of Rabies? It looked like a well cared for kitty. I was crying when I got home and had a lot of trouble sleeping. Told my sister this morning I wish I didn't go home the way I did. Gave my kitty an extra hug when I got home. She bit me in return! Seeing any animal on the side of the road gets me. But when it's a cat or dog, someone's possible pet, it breaks my heart. I called Animal Control, nobody reported a lost pet missing fitting it's description. They promised me kitty will be picked up before it snows and taken care of. |

Hopefully it wasn't anyone's kitty (not that it makes it better), but i know that the streets around where I live, there a lot of stray cats... |
