based on the district's handling of last week's snow delay and today's early dismissal, parents have a plan for tomorrow tuesday 1 march!!!

chances are at least a delayed opening, quite possibly no school.

I'm scheduled for jury duty Tuesday and they say I have to be there by 8:15. I won't know if they cancelled until 6:45 AM. If they don't cancel, it will be too late to shovel 10" of snow so I can get out. Argh. Thankfully I have a strong spouse to help. R

you don't have that kind of jury duty where you call in the day before (after 4 pm) to see if you are needed?

Rebecca -- I too, have to show up for jury duty at 8:15 tomorrow -- I just called, and had the same message -- sounds like I will see you there!

I take it Little Pete made it home safe and sound today. I know there was some confusion as to what the students who normally go to aftercare programs were supposed to do.

Okay, now this is not working out well. That phone number for jury call off still says yesterday's message.......call after 6:45 am. I have to go get ready while my spouse starts working on the driveway. It's still snowing and there seems to be ice underneath. I seriously doubt many people can get to the court this morning. Will probably rush to get there, find out not enough people came to service the pool and will end up coming home. At best I'll just sit there all day. I'm taking a book to read. Have fun at home you snow day people. R

Yeah, the clerk in charge of updating the message probably couldn't get in. :-)

So what happened with Court? Did they cancel it?

No. I was there all day Tues-Friday, but because I was serving as an alternate on my trial, didn't have to go back today, Monday. The 12 are apparently having a really hard time deciding on a verdict and I think it might end in mistrail. It's just as well that I was excused for today because I'm home sick, but I still can't go to work, did a few things from home. They apparently never cancel court, just delay an hour or two if need be. Overall, it was a different experience from all my other jury duty experiences and not really satifying. R
