Don't forget to keep your fire hydrant cleared from snow. Try to take notice where your hydrant is located in your neighborhood. A delay in locating a fire hydrant during an emergency can be serious.

And storm drains. Not the the emergency value is equivelant but it sure will help in keeping a wet basement from getting a lot wetter.

The storm drains should be cleared of leaves as well as snow. Wet leaves form a dam which prevents the snow melt from flowing through the grate.

It is also a really nice gesture to clear in front of crosswalks and to clear any pedestrian cut outs you may have. Shoveling the sidewalk doesn't help much if people can't get off the block.
