I get it -- George Bush is flat while the others are three-dimensional. Same as their leadership styles, right?

Why move Teddy? Just start "Rushmore II" with GWB. Later on, you can add Reagan, Buchanan, Millard Fillmore and Warren G. Harding. |

Nohero, They didn't want to have Bush and Reagan on the same mountain. The crowds would have been too large. Uke, or when the Mideast is full of democracies.

"Nohero, They didn't want to have Bush and Reagan on the same mountain. The crowds would have been too large." True, and where would they park all those trailers? |

Regardless of whether one is a Reagan Bush fan or not, there are many who oppose any alteration to Mount Rushmore on the grounds that it is an iconic work. What crap. What kitsch. That's what happens when the hoi polloi get any power. |

Does anyone really believe that this sort of project would even be considered in this day and age? The only possibility I can envision would be if it was done totally on private property with no public funding ... certainly not as a National Park/Monument. |
