My guess is the kiddie charges probably hurt his ability to charge top dollar. It's ashame that such a brilliant guy would try something so dumb. (let's face it folks, he probably did it.) |

Straw -- The answer to your question is that Scott's fee is less than Oliver North's: http://premierespeakers.com/1016/index.cfm The answer to your follow-up comment is covered in my last post. |

What I really liked about Scott's talk was his sense of history. No historical amnesia here on the role of the US in the middle east, which unfortunately dogs the right wingers on these message boards. He is passionate, articulate, and sincere and those qualities came across last night as I listened to him. Thanks, Paul, for bringing him to our town. |

Reflective, He didn't have time to discuss other Mideast countries but he gave a fairly detailed analysis of the Iraqi election. His main point was that discussion in the mainstream media has followed the mantra that "democracy" is being brought to Iraq with no voices of dissent allowed to be heard. Just like the discussion of WMDs in Iraq before the war. No voices of dissent allowed. He expects the elections process to exacerbate conflict among the three main factions Kurds, Shiites and Sunnis, rather than establish a process of governance. |

Paul, I'm so sorry to miss Scott Ritter. I also, had the dates confused (should have checked the board). I hope the taping was a success so I could have the priviledge to view it. Interesting that Ritter pointed out the possible conflict of governing between the Kurds, Shiites and Sunnis. I just read recently, that the Kurds & Shiites are having disagreements on how much Islamic law will be implemented into the future government of Iraq. My question for him (would've been)… How does he feel about this administrations goal of preventing further momentum towards the euro as an oil transaction currency standard? Reading more on the subject, this could have a devastating on our economy and one of the reasons for the Iraq invasion. I read Saddam was threatening to go euro. I wanted to know Mr. Ritter's feelings on this. Darn it! So mad I missed this! |

I loved Ollie's story about how supplying plastic explosives to Iranians was a means of appealing to moderates. I personally found it funny, but then frightening when I realized that they're a lot of pinheads who buy into it. Perhaps because they have a crush on him. Moderates wanting plastic explosives? Funny stuff. |

Not to forget the deals Ollie (and Poindexter) made on behalf of Reagan and Bush *41) to postpone the release of hostages until after the elections for which they gave arms to Iran. And guess who claimed credit for the release of the hostages? Real scumbag, that Ollie is. |

...get Ollie to speak? That's a lot of work. Have to organize personal attacks, a smear campaign. The venue and the fee would be the easy part. God forbid we should simply listen to what somebody has to say. |

Hey, Paul offered to help organize a debate between Ritter and anadministration supporter. I'd love to see Ollie rip Scott to shreds. But then again, I'd love to rip Scott to shreds. I Volunteer to engage in a debate against Ritter (only if we can't get Ollie, or better). Lets do it. Do I have to create an organization like Maplewood/South Orange supporters of Freedom and Liberty, or can I just do it by myself. I'm serious, and I'm throwing down the gauntlet. Paul, what do you want me to do? |
