Do not try this at home, or anywhere else for that matter |

Ow, ow, ow. How do you like the morons jumping around like they just toppled Saddam Hussein's regime while the girl stands there clearly looking dazed and hurt? Of course she agreed to the stunt, so maybe there's not much brain to damage there. |

She definitely is rattled at the end of the video. She cracks the back of her head on the rim of the basket as she comes down through it. Two responses: Analog, I agree with you she was stupid to get involved in this stunt. However, they all got in it together and the complete obliviousness of the goofballs who threw her up in the air is what disturbs me. Not one of them seems concerned. And strings, I'm sure the guys put her up to it. But c'mon. There had to be some level of compliance on her part, not to mention lack of common sense. Let's not blame them only. |

All right, Mr T. It's on. What we have here is a general societal pressure on a young woman who is clamoring for the acceptance and attention of her male peers. In this case she is willing to do something foolish and dangerous in an attempt to win approval from the dominant males. Perhaps she felt threatend with being ostracized, or worse, being made to feel unattractive and undesireable. The males in this case, fueled by testosterone and an urge to subjugate an attractive female peer, exerted tremendous peer pressure and unconscious threats of rejection or perhaps physical violence in order to demean and dominate the female. Once their objective was met, they were no longer able to curtail homoerotic urges and proceeded to embark upon a primeval display of lust disguised as a "victory" celebration. The female, now fully subjugated to their will, is longer considered important and is ignored, despite her obvious pain and suffering. The long term? The guys will forget this ever happened and the girl will need psychotherapy to help her understand what's wrong with her. |

I could be way out in left field on this but I saw this about two months ago and I though it was for a movie. The girl is a stunt girl and they’re trying to practice. That doesn’t explain the absence of safety equipment. I’ll try to find the post someplace.

Video editing software is capable of making it appear that she shot through the hoop when in reality she was 2' in front of it. This includes the net swoosh and her hair movement. |

Anybody follow the link at the end of the video? It does seem to be some kind of movie site. Anyone remember the scene in "Dodgeball" where the one young kid steps in at the national Chearleader championships for his high school? Looks like they took that 2-minute scene and made a movie out of it. But I think it's actually a goof. Anyway, there's some funny clips, and most bestest of all is the game where you get to throw a cheerleader through a basketball hoop, among other things. Anyway, good way to kill time at work. http://pumpupthemovie.com/ |
