I attended an open house at a wonderful new program called Children of the sun in Union for my 5 year old son and just signed him up. It's an African-centered program held on Saturday mornings. This is a fairly new program (2nd year) and the two women that run the classes are wonderful, excellent teachers (and were producers of the Black History Month Celebration at the library). I just wanted to share the experience I had and put it out there for anyone who may be looking for this kind of activity for their kid(s).
