Hysterical! In the domestic policy section, "Energy: We oppose all government control of energy pricing, allocation, and production." is followed almost immediately by: "Consumer Protection: We support strong and effective laws against fraud and misrepresentation." |

effective laws are completely different from government control. one refers to actual laws to prevent infringement of personal freedoms, the other refers to government agencies created to restrict free market activity. i dont care if you disagree with its tenets, but i do wish you would read it with an open mind and in the manner its meant to be read. not twisting it with your personal agenda. |

Would you keep the FDA? It certainly restricts free market activity. |

I love the part about the all-volunteer juries interpreting the legality of the law, or the monetary policy that would essentially withdraw the U.S. from the international banking system. What's next? Opposition to the law of gravity because it causes airplanes to use more fuel, thereby denying some people freedom of movement? |

No problem, as long as I have an illness that they may cure, I volunteer. |

Do we also get to test out the effects of fertilizers, pesticides and food-borne illnesses on you? |

if you read anything about the efficacy of the fda you will find that it is an ineffective agency that receives much of its funding from the drug companies it is supposed to be protecting us from. the recent vioxx problems are a lovely illustration of how useless the fda is. |

The FDA does come up with some really cool warnings on medicine bottles though. Think of all the disgruntled writers that would be put out if it was disbanded |
