At the second December BOE meeting, president O'Leary intimated that policy 2270 - Religion in the Schools - would be reviewed by the board at one of the January meetings. The date was subsequently changed to March. As there is only one March meeting left, I assume the discussion will occur on 21 March. There are those offering odds that the debate will be put off until after the April BOE election on the theory that none of the three incumbent BOE candidates - Jasey, Miller and O'Leary - are anxious to have a vote before then, but I think the BOE executive committee of O'Leary, Betheil and Frazer that sets the agendas has more integrity than that.

Then at the BOE debates the question should be asked of all candidates. No hiding. Anyone have a schedule of the debates? |
