According this this latest article
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=578&e=2&u=/nm/20050313/ts_nm/sec urity_zarqawi_dc

The "evil doers' who attacked this country over three years ago, are planning attacks on so called soft targets. This administration has done absolutely nothing to make us safer, instead it has used bullying and scare tactics to cement its grip on the country, run the economy into the ground, squander a surplus, gut the environmental protection policies put in place in the last thirty five years, and in general just crap on everyone in this and everyother country of the world who do not make over a million dollars a year, including all the boobs who blindly march lock step with the boy king.

Face facts they have turned their back on homeland security and reduced it to a talking point in a far right agenda that mostly concerns getting as much money as they can before all hell breaks lose.

It well past time the general populace wakes up. We need a good kick in the pants and right quick.

"The above post brought to you by someone who has swallowed just a little to much LSD."

Once upon a time, the Leader of the Free World was presented with a document entitled "Bin Laden Determined to Attack US."

He did nothing. Later on, we were attacked on 9/11. This is a documented, historical fact.

We'd all be better off (not to mention safer) if the grown-ups were in charge.

And even after they were shown their mistakes they've done nothing which is the greater crime. They've ignored the warning signs, dismissed those who saw the signs then and now, and have dithered, taken power and mortgages ours and our childrens future.

I was thinking that today that it has been three and a half years since the day I stood under the towers and saw the first plane strike, in three and a half years after pearl harbor our troops were about to take berlin, hitler was hiding ina bunker and about to take his life. We had leaders than, now we have cowering fools, yes men and rich man who want a few dollars more.

Then why'd ya come back?

Alternate response:
"That's the same thing the President said when they kept trying to talk to him about Al Qaeda ..."

"Then why'd ya come back?"

Because I like Slipknot's logo.

I'm sure if we were to talk music, he'd be dead on. However, politics is a different story.

BREAKING NEWS!

DAVID KELLEY
US ATTORNEY SOUTHERN DIST OF NY

"U.S. Attorney David Kelley announces unsealing of a complaint charging 18 individuals with various weapons trafficking offenses, including a scheme to smuggle rocket-propelled grenade launchers and shoulder-fired surface-to-air missiles into the country."

oops, another thread brought to you by libs who simply don't understand what it is our President is doing to protect us from terrorism. And another reason why liberals no longer have a voice in this nation.

But what's the problem. Rocket propelled grenades don't kill people, people kill people.

Here is an article on today's bust from MSNBC. While it is to early to be certain, this looks like a bunch of ordinary criminals, not Al Qaeda or a similar group.

Speaking of incompetent Presidential Administrations, http://www.nytimes.com/2005/03/15/national/15cnd-anthrax.html?hp&ex=1110949200&e n=991917198b42d474&ei=5094&partner=homepage
You'd think they could have caught this guy, if it wasn't for the fact he was amazingly convenient, helping getting the Patriot Act past by scaring all those rats in DC.

I voted against Bush and have a gut aversion to him but when you say he "did nothing," you're really spewing some hyperbole, don't you think? We won a war rather easily in Afghanistan thus expelling AQ from their home court. There have been many small victories since in the way of arrests and breakups of cells.

As for homeland security and the threat against soft targets, there are limits. Short of making one half the country bodyguards for the other or giving each person a bulletproof bubble, security will be imperfect. People will die. Life will go on. What do you propose that will prevent this?

First off the Afghanistan war was based on Clinton Era attach plans that had, get this, been planned out a head of time. So we get that one.

By willfully diverting resources from the Afghan war into the fake war of Iraq is the issue. It isn't hyperbole to say that we took our eye off the ball of terrorism in order to fulfill a long standing plan by the far right wing part of the Republican pary. So they had years to plan this war with Iraq (in the back rooms of the Weekly Standard and the Council for a New Century) and still did a terrible job, with no exit strategy, no attempt to protect cultural or even miltary targets, ecept for oil.

what is our exit strategy in Bosnia, in Kosovo?
How many years there?
Let's see we don't need an exit strategy in Libya nor Pakistan. And I also just read that over one million people demonstrated in Beirut against baathist/fascist Syrian regime.
I just remembered we went into Bosnia and Kosovo to protect muslims.

I guess your exit strategy comment depends on whether one supports AQ or not.

What's our exit strategy in Guam? Germany? Okinawa? We've been in Guantanamo since the Spanish-American war without an exit strategy.

It's a lot more urgent when people are shooting at you, like in Iraq.

...and if Bush were to appear at a press conference with horns, cloven hooves and "666" emblazoned across his forehead some conservative would bring up Monica Lewinsky.
