and i will say it 1 more time, THERE IS NO MEDICAL PROOF THAT SECOND HAND SMOKE CAUSES DEATH!!! none! learn to do some research and expand your minds beyond the propoganda that is produced by partisan organizations.

Proof has never before stopped a libertarian from spreading propaganda...

i am surprised that you leave the round table long enough to post

Leventhal's decision to back away from a Maplewood ban was due in part to comments from local bar owners.
Saint James Gate owner John Meade said a local smoking ban would negatively impact 30 to 40 percent of his business.

Back from the round table.

There is no time limit on truth, but science and technology evolves/improves and leads to new truth.

i agree. there is scientific proof for both sides. you have chosen your truth. still doesnt mean its The Truth.

AND I'M SURE THE TOBBAOCO INDUSTRY IS SPREADING ZERO PROPAGANDA ABOUT SEND HAND SMOKE

i am sure that they do. the point is to learn that both sides deliver copious amounts of propaganda and slanted results.

the gate didn't want a local ban, for fear the smokers would go to other nearby towns. but a state-wide ban elimates that problem. the gate owner would be in favor of a state-wide ban.

libertarian, me thinks thou dost protest too much.

no such thing as too much protest. i will forever protest facsictic legislation meant to deprive the individual of personal freedoms.some people think some books are dangerous and unhealthy and try to get them banned. some think scientific ideas are dangerous and should be banned.are regardless of the differences you see they all still an attempt to limit personal freedom through draconian law.

on a side note, you used the quote in an improper context based upon the original intent of the quote.

"Libertarian"

quote:

i will forever protest facsictic[sic] legislation meant to deprive the individual of personal freedoms.

So I take this to mean you'll fight for individuals' rights to breathe air uncontaminated w/ by-products from burning paper and vegetable matter?

Paper and vegetable matter would be fine. Most of us object to sharing in the inhalation of this:

Why are some of you posting links and articles about how smoking and second hand smoke is bad for you? (Jamie) Yeah, we know that already. Unfortunately, that's not what we're discussing. Since you know that smoke is bad for you WHY DON'T YOU JUST STAY OUT OF THE BARS AND LET US BE!!!!

I was at the pub last night - it was pretty smoke free when I got there and very enjoyable - nice band playing too. But after 11:30 EVERYONE seemed to light up, ugh disgusting - unhealthy.

We will have our answer to this problem on a state level tomorrow!!!!!

obviously the owner of the business feels that your personal concerns are not important to the running of his business. how nice of you to decide to force him to cater to your personal needs.

Actually - he commented how pleasurable it was when he was in smokefree NYC the previous night. I'm sure he'll be happy when the state passes the law.

In the meantime - enjoy the hydrogen cyanide.

SO, pointless, redundant, and pedantic. do you ever have anything to add or is it always these little bon mots while piggy backing on others points? just curious.
