Drug rehab halfway house down the street

While I am not opposed per se to having a halfway house in my neighborhood, I was surprised that (a) neither the seller nor my real estate agent disclosed this and (b) according to the township officials I spoke to, there is no required registration or any regulation/supervision of halfway houses that have 5 or fewer residents (the only real supervision is provided by the police, assuming the residents misbehave enough to cause neighbors to call the police).
