Hey now!

Anyone have a couple of quintessential Phil discs and/or Dick's Picks of the boys to suggest/lend?

My small collection is stale-ifying...

Be well and rock out, all.

David,

If you are looking for more GD shows, you should check out www.nugs.net

Or, if you go to www.furthurnet.com. At this site you can download a napster style program that allows you to search many different artists including a large amount of grateful dead material. This lets you download whole shows, and usually view the setlists, time of songs, etc...

ril,

How *IS* that book? I like rock biographies. Recently read a good ZAPPA biography. If you're interested, I can lend you that one and borrow the Lesh one.

MrT:
Actually, I didn't read it myself--I'm a fan, but not so much. I sent it to bets a couple of days ago--ask her to lend it to you....

So, Bets, I have some biographies on hand:

a few about Zappa including a good new one by Barry Miles
a few about Charles Mingus (my personal hero)
a few about Coltrane including the recent The Making of "A Love Supreme" by Ashley Kahn
a light and silly Peter Sellers bio
a great serious memoir by Joe Jackson,
Jerry Wexler's (Atlantic Records) memoir
a Bob Marley book
"Buried Alive" about Janis Joplin
a nice Charlie Parker bio ("Bird Lives")
Two of Sinatra, neither very good

and some others...

I'd be happy to lend one out for a few weeks with the Phil Lesh memoir...
