I just got the dvd of "THE TRIPLETS OF BELVILLE" and fell in love with it. It's one of the best animated movies that I have seen. I thought the animation was well drawn and the plot was great. If you haven't seen it, I totally recomend it.

BTW This is cheap plug time: I am very biased here the following site is my nephew's web site.

The song was pretty good too.

That's a French film isn't it? It was only shown I think in some art-house cinemas in the New York metro area last year as far as I remember and I couldn't get to see it.

Is it dubbed or does it have subtitles? (Not that I'm bothered about subtitles).

Where did you buy it..and how much? I only ever seem to buy DVDs from Costco these days but I'm sure they won't have the 'Triplets' DVD on sale there LOL! I think I'd like to buy a copy for myself.

(Just remembered that the Bridget Jones film is just out on DVD in the shops, must get it).

There's almost no dialogue. Perhaps none, I don't remember.

Very little French dialogue but you don't need to know what they're saying to understand whats going on.

It is a feast for the eyes and ears.

I think it was a collaboration between Quebecois and French people. No, you don't need subtitles. There are actually more English words in it than French, but few of both.

We saw the movie twice in three days when it came out in the theaters. That's how good it is. Now we own the DVD, of course. Brilliant in so many ways. And dear to my heart, since I used to be an avid cyclist and sometimes follow bike racing. I used to be built like the hero. In fact, I still kinda am. I was also a bicycle mechanic when I was young, and appreciate lots of little details they threw in. The animator said that the hardest part of the film was animating the rotating bicycle wheel while keeping the crossed spokes correct. I can appreciate that.

This might be a dumb question, but can kids watch it too? Would be nice to see something together that isn't mind numbing...

my middle schoolers liked it a lot. I doubt younger kids will stick with it but there are individual scenes and images they'd like.
