Past requests for position on what seemed to be subjects that involve the CCR have been objected to as not relevant to the organization's mission. As it does have an education committee that has taken positions on various school issues, what is its take on the March 17 demands on the stationary of the [CHS] MLK Association (posted in full on Education)? |

Fringe, The Community Coalition does not have an "education committee". It has a Schools Committee. That committee deals with issues involving the schools that also bear on maintaining integration. The Coalition has pointed out in the past, when similar questions have been raised, that it cannot take a position as an organization until the trustees have met and agreed on what, if anything, the position will be. So a two-day turnaround is unlikely no matter what the issue might be. |

It is always fair to ask anyone's position on anything. What is unfair, is always acting as if you expect the party in question to provide you with a timely and reasoned reply. |

Whether its a "schools committee" or an "education committee", what is the CCR's position on this? Its still a "race" issue. |
