The first Adult Ultimate Frisbee Game for this year will be on April 10th, at 9:30 am, in Maplecrest Park. All are invited to join this co-ed pick-up game, even those new to Ultimate. The rules are easy to learn, and we'd love to have you join us. If you'd like to be added to our email list for reminders and other game information, please private line me. |

Hi Sarah, I managed to pick up a ringer. He used to play for his High School team in Montclair graduated in 1985. They regularly played Columbia. He wondered if any former CHS opponents will be playing. He's probably available for the April 3rd game, not certain about the 10th, but definitely into playing. As am I. |

I am a newbie to the sport and was hoping to read up on some pointers before april 3rd. I think I understand the rules well enough. I have the running part down. I have the catching part down. Its the throwing part I could use some pointers on. Right now when I throw a frisbee, it often times goes far, but about 60 degrees right of where I throw it! Hopefully correcting this is not as hard as correcting my slice on the golf course! Anyone know where i can read up on some tips and good technique? |

www.upa.org might have, or link to, something useful. CHS ultimate is practicing at Memorial Park in Mpl most weekdays from maybe 3:30 to 6:00, and one of them might give advice. |

Joe, thanks for recruiting. We have one player who used to play for Columbia (and coach, too, so he might be able to help you Rick). There may be others I'm forgetting. Andrea, we'll be playing from 9:30 until about 11:30 Sunday mornings, so hopefully it won't be a conflict (just depends on your stamina). Feel free to come for just an hour, if that fits your schedule better. No problem if you need to leave early. The first game will be April 10th, 9:30 am in Maplecrest Park, between fields 2 and 3 (just look for the flying disks.) There may be some people getting together for an informal toss this Sunday, April 3rd, at 10:00, same place (unfortunately, I can't make it). No game if it rains. Hope to see you all there. |

Joe - I played for Columbia from 1982-1986. We played Montclair often. I will be there on 4/3 and look forward to reuniting with your ringer friend. |

I will try my best to be there tomorrow and I wilol try to make it on the 10th. I have a softball game on the 9th and depending on how the joints that tend to hurt after I play feel I may come a watch if I can't play. |

Hey did you folks manage to put together a game? I hope so. I couldn't play because I've been fighting a cold. I'll probably see you this Sunday.

On 4/24 we had some cold and windy weather but still had a turnout of about 12 or more! This Sunday the weather should be good and the turnout should be back in the 15-20 range. Maplecreast at 9:30. |

Hi Folks, I just want to give a little advanced warning. I'm going to be out of town this weekend. Hopefully, you'll still have enough for a game. By the way I saw a commercial where people were playing ultimate. We'd kick their butts. |

dougw That's only because they're already fit. By the end of the summer some beer maker's going to want us to compete in a coed wet Tshirt contest. |
