Yeah, what's the "noglider" thing about, anyway? :-)

I'd explain mine, but then I'd have to get into the other 36 projects...

I've been working in the internet business for a pretty long time now. In the early days of online, people used to call NYC, Silicon Alley. Part of being online provides a certain amount of anonymity which I like which is why I didn't use my birth name. It also sorta tickles my funnybone a bit when people assume I'm a girl. I guess people think Alley is short for Allison?

Its my passion. If its related to basketball I have an interest. I am known at basketball events by many and I know many who participate in the sport.

Anyway it fits my personality better then 'Opinionated Moron'

A love for history - colonial history - colonial NJ history - thus Crossroads - from Crossroads of the Revolution as in revolutionary NJ. My license plate is 1776 although not from NJ.

It's a nickname that only one person in this world uses - so I figured I'd keep my anonymity that way, but now everyone thinks my name is Lillian (Lill). I thought about changing it, but I think I've posted too much to change it now...

There's that self-honesty again Hoops (I like basketball too particularly when I watch my son and his friends play).

OK I'll see your honesty and raise you one. I only use my first name because I assume everyone knows who I am. How's that for hubris. If you check over on Soapbox at least almost everyone wants me banned now.

BGS - my initials...how uninspiring!!!!! When I signed on I never thought that I would be posting...if I could change it now I might be Laura Ingals Wilder (loved her books when I was a child) or the Big Chick (a friend's son still calls me this because I am so much taller than his Mom) ...but as LilLB says, I have posted too much to change it now...

I was making reference to the many grammatical and typographical errors in on-line postings (including mine own). It is a subtle reminder to myself to try to take a minute and review what I write before I click "Post".

Unfortunately, there is no book with tips on how to avoid the logical errors in my posts--for that, I rely on Straw, cjc, BobK, Aquaman, and myriad others to show me the errors of my ways.

I was hoodwinked and bamboozled into fleeing the confines of the genteel south and settling in the great state of NJ, specifically South Orange, where I've lived as a refugee for almost 6 years.

My username, Shh, is just my initials, but I like that it says "Shh!" which often needs to be said!

Then last summer I believe, there was a thread about who on MOL do you like (by their posts) and after a weak start, suddenly Jay and his desk and Hank were fighting over me.

Pippi then said something like "huh, a Virtual It Girl, who'd a thunk it."

So after being Shh for a few years I'm now enjoying my time as Virtual It Girl.

Kinda has a nice ring, thanks Pip!
