I've checked back (except the attic) and I'm amazed that there are no posts re exterior painters.
The reason is I wanted to give you a "heads up" re a
problem we had with Murphy General Contracting
Our house was painted by his guys, with the undercoat being the same color as the top coat, but flat finish. After two months, we can see that about 20% (the right front) of our house was never painted with the top coat. That was 9 months and around 40 phone calls ago. Since then we have five places where the paint is peeling back to bare wood!
Yesterday my wife tried again and Martin actually answered the phone himself only to tell her that he doesn't guarantee his work. That's the last straw.
So whoever you choose for your painting, make sure that you have a written guarantee - we will next time!} }
