Hey, I like the little voting thing. We should have one every week. Different topics ... |

Should the board eliminate the use of screen names in favor of first and last names? Jerry, relax, no recall vote here. We love you man! |

Jerry, check: http://66.33.27.70/discus/ which has a new nav frame on the left -- board-menu.shtml (renamed from board-menu.html). Maybe you have it bookmarked in some other way? |

Love it, Dave! But I get to this board from Maplewoodonline.com, and click on the message board. The vote doesn't come up for me. |

I just checked the links and that shouldn't make a difference. If you're not presently seeing the vote box at top of the navigation frame, try a power reload (shift+reload). |

How about Jitney riders v. non-Jitney riders; or people who ride Jitney and those who want to ride but don't have one in their area. |

Dave: Sometimes the page glitches and I end up with some javascript goop plus the top of the contents of the message frame duplicated in the slot where the poll graphic goes. This has happened a handful of times, including just now... |

Jerry, I've seen that once myself about 5 days ago, but I haven't been able to recreate it. I was using Navigator 4.7 on MacOS 9. Any Windows folks seeing weird stuff over there on the left? |

I've never seen it. I'm guessing that about 22.2% of users have this problem. |

I looked at the source in that frame. There is no actual javascript in it (the form is entirely handed by CGI), but there are errors in the table code, and Netscape is very fragile about bad table code. The poll results chart is made up of a series of nested tables. The internal rows of the table, one for each result, is a TR, but they are missing the matching /TR tag. I'd be glad to help you fix it if you want. |
